ABOUT

Hannah (she/her) is a poet and common magpie currently based in South London. She combines her love for experimental poetics, digital illustration and found materials to create ecologically-driven, site-specific work.

Hannah is deeply fascinated by ecomaterialism and the ‘close reading’ of environments; using the materials (chance encounters, conversations with fellow rag and bone people, hidden words, forgotten objects) she finds locally as a starting point for place-based practice. She uses the local and personal to create embodied and immersive work, in the hopes that people find a little of themselves in it.

After a BA in English and Drama (First Class Honours) and MA in Poetic Practice (Distinction) at Royal Holloway, Hannah began a job only dreams are made of with theatre company Good Chance in creative development and communications, where she remains today working across the refugee / climate justice sectors.
